Robert Holtkamp, a leading figure in the downstream aluminium sector, has been appointed as the General Manager of Bahrain Aluminium Extrusion Co. (BALEXCO)
The appointment of Mr Holtkamp is part of a major overhaul and restructuring programme of BALEXCO.
Chairman of Balexco , Hisham Al Rayes, says “Balexco took the lead in the region and built an integrated plant that has positioned our manufacturing capacity as one of the most technically advanced integrated plants. Our vision is to ensure that we continue to be an industry leader in the region. The appointment of Mr Holtkamp will bring a seasoned professional with a proven track record of commercial and industry success to provide renewed energy to deliver on Balexco’s corporate mission ”
Mr Holtkamp was previously CEO of National Aluminium Products (NAPCO) in Oman where he led the company to its highest level of recorded sales.
“Balexco is a sleeping giant“ says Mr Holtkamp “The company was the first aluminum extrusion plant in the GCC when it was set-up in 1977. The board and I would like to grow the company to new levels of success and recognition in the sector for excellence, and quality while delivering increased profitability.”
