DUBAI: Avivo Group, one of the fastest-growing healthcare service providers in the GCC, has opened an exclusive beauty-enhancement and wellness clinic in Dubai’s Box Park as Aesthetic services top the list of medical tourism in the emirate.
While inaugurating the Dermalase Clinic in Al Wasl, Dubai Health Authority’s (DHA) Health Regulation Sector CEO Dr Marwan Al Mulla, said, “Health Tourism initiatives are supporting the investments in the health sector as demand is increasing. Dermalase Al Wasl-based clinic, which will be handled by two leading beauty and wellness specialists, is part of the expansion plan of Avivo Group that has presence in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah and Kuwait. While Dr Cherry Ezzat is a recognised anti-ageing and functional medicine practitioner, Dr Fiona Cowie is an aesthetic expert and is also well-versed in many aspects of cosmetic aesthetics.
The group already runs four beauty and wellness clinics two under the brand name Aesthetica and two as Dermalase. Dermalase Clinic offers a wide range of aesthetic procedures including skincare, laser treatments, facials, botox and fillers, body contouring, clinical dermatology, plastic surgery, wellness and anti-ageing therapies.

A report by Euromonitor International has forecast that the total revenues from medical tourism in the UAE is expected to grow to AED 14 billion by the end of this year and it could touch AED 19 billion by 2023. The Relatable’s 2020 Influencer Wellness report, meanwhile, has highlighted that wellness is now a $4.2 trillion global market, growing nearly twice as fast as the global economy.
