Doha, Qatar: Aspetar, the orthopaedic and sports medicine hospital and Paris Saint Germain are co-organising the second edition of ‘Striving for Excellence’ summit scheduled to take place on the 20th and 21st of May at the Parc des Princes stadium in Paris. 

The two-day international summit is dedicated to sports performance, sports medicine and analytics. brings together world’s leading experts and internationally renowned researchers. Participants will address a range of topics including tailoring training sessions to individuals, injury prevention and the role of tracking data in improving team performance.

Aspetar renowned experts participated in the summit led by Dr Abdulaziz Jaham Al-kuwari Chief Executive Officer including Dr Hakim Chalabi Assistant Director General for International Medical Affairs, Prof. Gerard Saillant, Dr Ulrike Muschaweck, Dr Cristiano Eirale, Dr Yorck Olaf Schumacher, Dr Mathew Wilson, Dr Johannes Tol, Dr Giannicola Bisciotti, and Dr Zarko Vuckovic

The international summit is a leading platform for discussing the best ways to optimise athlete and team performance and perfectly aligns with Aspetar’s mission. The conference will bring together global experts and specialists in different major football leagues, sports medicine and sports analytics. 

Organising such meetings reflects Aspetar’s focused strategy to be a global leader in sports medicine and exercise science by 2020 and to assist athletes both to achieve maximum performance and fulfil their full potential.

The summit follows the recent success of the International Conference on Medicine and Science in Athletics held in Doha from 3 – 5th May and organised by Aspetar and attended by hundreds of medical personnel who benefited by hearing from a selection of world-renowned speakers and experts in the field of athletics.
