Dubai, United Arab Emirates, March 11th, 2007 - Andrew Flint, Karim Al Azhari, Costas Papantonis and Tarek El Gammal mounted the top of the podium of the sixth round of the UAE's premier motor racing series, the Dubai Autodrome Motor Club national raceday held last Friday on the 4.29 km international circuit of the Dubai Autodrome, in respectively the UAE National Superstock Bike Championship, Bartercard Gulf  Radical Cup and the Motoworks GTI Cup  

In the Motorworks GTI Cup, Costas Papantonis recorded the fastest lap time of minutes 2:04.080, Yazan Rijleh was second with a time of minutes 2:04.527 while Tarek Elgammal managed third with a time of minutes 2:04.790.

The first race podium saw Costas Papantonis in first, Tarek El Gammal in second and Yazan Rijlah in third. The second race was in turn lead by Costas Papantonis who then dropped to forth position after a spin, the race was therefore concluded with Tarek El Gammal in first, Yazan Rijleh in second and Tim Nikaloi in third.

In the Bartercard Gulf Radical Cup qualifying session, Karim Al Azhari qualified on pole for the sixth time this season, after clocking the fastest lap of minutes 1:41.115,  Bassam Kronfli qualified second with a time of 1:41.317 minutes while Jean Yves Mallat accomplished the third fastest time of minutes 1:41. 785.

The following two races were yet again dominated by the pole sitter Karim Al Azhari leaving second place to Jean Yves Mallat in the first race and Omran Al Owais in the second race. Third place went to driver Mohammed Al Owais in the first race and Sami Matuq in the second race.

In the UAE National Superstock Bike Championship, Suzuki rider Andrew Flint marked the best time in qualifying with minutes 1: 48.077 followed by Kawazaki rider Abdulaziz Bakr with minutes 1: 48.442 and Robert Nicholas with minutes 1:49.839.

Flint then scored two deserved wins after leading both races, closely followed by Abdulaziz Bakr in second. Third place went to Jhonnie Pienaar in the first race and Red Scott in the second race.

The seventh round of the national raceday will take place on March the 30th. Admission for the general public is free.
