The launch of the service aligns with the overarching goals of the UAE Centennial 2071 and the recent three-year budget cycle (2020-2022) approved by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to make Dubai one of the most livable cities in the world. As per this budget cycle, for the year 2020, 5 per cent has been dedicated to Excellence and Innovation.

Robotic Assisted surgery is a process that allows surgeons to perform complex surgical procedures with more precision, flexibility, and control than conventional techniques, the latest edition enable surgeons to perform minimally invasive surgery with an advanced set of instruments, 3D- High Definition (3D-HD) vision system, and with 10 times magnification. The da Vinci Xi instruments have mechanical wrists that bend and rotate to mimic the movements of the human wrist- allowing the surgeon to make small, precise movements inside the body.
