Oman Investment Corporation SAOC (OIC), a leading Omani private equity investment company, announced the successful debt financing closure with Ahli Bank & Oman Development Bank for Sohar Women and Children hospital and commencing the construction work of Oman's first specialised women and children hospital.
Aman Healthcare Services SAOC (Aman Healthcare), OIC's private equity management vehicle in the healthcare sector, received an overwhelming interest in its first equity fundraising campaign in the first quarter of 2020, which has reflected the investor's keen interest and confidence in the healthcare sector in Oman and its growth prospects.
Aman Healthcare's first project, Sohar Women and Children Hospital, has a capacity of 60 beds and expected to be operational in 2022. Aman is building another 70-bed women and children hospital in Muscat. These hospitals will focus on providing high-quality medical services for women and children with a family-friendly environment, hotel-like modern infrastructure, and experienced international qualified staff.
With two exceptional hospitals and more plans to enrich the healthcare sector in the pipeline, OIC is now inviting interested investors to participate in its next round of equity fundraising for Aman Healthcare.
Kalat Al Bulooshi, the Chairman of Aman Healthcare and the Chief Executive Officer of OIC, stated: "We are proud to complete both equity and debt financing closure for Aman Healthcare. We thank our investors and lenders who have shown strong confidence in the project. We have successfully established a healthcare platform for local and regional investors to invest in attractive healthcare sub-sectors to create Oman's leading private healthcare services provider.
Aman Capital LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of OIC, will be the investment manager and provide all investment management services to Aman Healthcare.
