Kuwait: ALARGAN International Real Estate Company today inaugurated the ARGAN Square dining, retail and leisure development, catering to a dynamic young segment of the population in the heart of the Salmiya area in the State of Kuwait, where they can gather, study and socialize in a vibrant and active environment.
Designed in line with the Company’s motto “Life… As You Love It” and extending over 4,800 square meters, ARGAN Square is surrounded by Sabah Al-Salem Street and the Gulf Road, and is situated directly opposite from the American University of Kuwait (AUK). ARGAN Square positions itself as a social and cultural platform in addition to being a leisure destination where students can engage in activities ranging from arts, music, photography, fitness, health and much more.

As part of the inauguration of ARGAN Square, a photography competition organized by ALARGAN in partnership with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and Kuwait’s General Secretariat of the Supreme Council for Planning and Development (GSSCPD), in which university students were invited to present their vision and aspirations of the future. The photography competition aimed to familiarize students with the Sustainable Development Goals identified by the United Nations (UN) as well as the development goals identified in the Kuwait Vision 2035.
29 students participated in the competition judged by the UN Resident Coordinator, Ms. Zineb Touimi-Benjelloun and renowned photographers, Mohammad Al-Sultan and Faisal Al Bisher. Winners of the competition were announced during the inauguration. The first-place winner, Ali Zidi from Kuwait University, received a KD400 voucher from the photography store, AAB World, while the second-place winner, Fahad Al Enezi from Kuwait University received a KD300 voucher and the third-place, Noura Zaher from AUK, a KD200 voucher. A parallel competition was held on ARGAN Square’s social media platforms, inviting followers to vote for their favorite photography. Winner of the social media competition, Gamila Eid, received a KD100 voucher.
ALARGAN heavily invests in corporate social responsibility, a key investment that it recognizes as a pillar to long-term sustainability.
