Dubai, UAE – Al Shirawi Facilities Management, UAE’s leading facilities service provider, became one of the first organisations in the world to be awarded ISO 41001 certification. British Standards Institution (or BSI) published the recognition on July 18th 2019.

BSI, the business improvement company, recognises organisations for their exemplary practices and continuous service in the industry. Al Shirawi Facilities Management (or ASFM) achieved the ISO 41001 certification for facility management after an independent assessment, including a rigorous on-site audit covering all the requirements of the standard.

Pramodh Idicheria, COO, Al Shirawi FM, said: “Throughout the years, Al Shirawi Facilities Management has adopted effective practices to provide an excellent service to all our clients and enhance their experience consistently. With such a prestigious certification, ASFM is the first to cross a remarkable milestone in the facilities management industry.

Charalampos Sarafopoulos, General Manager, Al Shirawi FM, said: “Today, we are proud to set a benchmark in the FM industry with our brilliant practices recognised worldwide. Our path in achieving this success was not easy. With the global facilities management industry expected to reach a market value of USD 64.5 billion by 2023, we need to have specific operational practices in place which remain consistent across the globe. Based on our consistent delivery of services, proper management and usability of assets, and commitment to workplace users, we have been awarded the ISO 41001 certificate. We are one of the first organisations in the world to achieve such a prestigious certification. This achievement will boost our confidence to take even more significant steps in future towards excellence.

As a responsible service provider, we believe certification to ISO 41001 is critical in elevating the practice of facilities services and making our customers feel the difference. The guidelines strengthen us further in delivering exemplary service to our clients and are a significant step in us achieving excellence, a core value of our group.” added by Krishna Kumar, General Manager - QHSE & Business Excellence at Al Shirawi FM.
