Adecco UAE, part of The Adecco Group, the world's leading HR solutions partner, has kicked off its annual 'CEO for One Month' program 2019 in Dubai.
In its sixth year, this global internship program is a unique opportunity for candidates to step into the shoes of business leaders in 47 countries across the company's global network. Top applicants will complete a national 'CEO for One Month' internship, shadowing the Adecco Group leaders of their own country. Ultimately, one representative will be chosen as the 'Global CEO for One Month" and will have the opportunity to work alongside the Adecco Group CEO Alain Dehaze.
"Our 'CEO for One Month' program is a unique opportunity," said Alain Dehaze. "It helps people thrive in their careers and increase their confidence and exposure, by giving them highly effective work-based learning inside a Fortune 500 company. It is a testament to the strength of the program that many candidates join us and our customers in permanent roles after it has finished."
To identify UAE’s representative, more than 1500 applicants went through a month-long screening process to put their skills to test at 6 levels of recruitment process followed by a local Boot Camp at the Head Office in Dubai. The top candidate will spend one month shadowing the organization's senior executives – all while earning a 6,000 Euro salary – and will have the chance to continue on as one of ten country 'CEO for One Month' finalists across the Adecco Group's global footprint. Adecco UAE’s Country Manager will be a mentor throughout the program to prepare the candidate for a workplace of tomorrow.
Mayank Patel, Country Manager Adecco UAE said ‘We understand the difficulty many young people face when it comes to finding a job, and the high expectations of employers when it comes to candidate work experience. The Adecco Group’s ‘CEO for One Month’ program is a great opportunity to boost your professional career and we hope to provide you a meaningful experience empowering success in the world of work.’ said Mayank Patel, Country Manager Adecco UAE.
Futhermore Angelo Lo Vecchio, Head of Eastern Europe, Middle East and North Africa adds:
‘It has been an immense pleasure welcoming these talented top performers into our organization through the CEOfor1month over the past five years. They have enriched our organization with some excellent ideas and zest we can only expect from youth. An important part of the program for all senior management including myself is reverse mentoring, with 3 generations now actively in the workplace, learning about Gen Z’s needs is crucial to the future of the modern workforce’.
