Aqaba Container Terminal, the preferred gateway for the Levant region and beyond, has launched their new website which will provide customers with a streamlined platform for a more user-friendly experience. The website was developed as part of the APM Terminals Global Network, giving the new platform a uniform look and feel, highlighted with the ACT corporate identity and customized functionality to support the required needs, providing users with efficient way to perform all their port operations and inquiries online.
As part of their continuous improvement process, ACT has completely developed the website with a more modern and functional style that supports both Arabic and English, and is built using the latest IT technology which will allow users to navigate with greater simplicity with designs responsive on both PC and mobiles.
The new website (www.act.com.jo) makes it easier than ever to check container status through its track and trace system which allows users to inquire about their full container (import or export) by the Bill of lading (BL).
Users can easily navigate to the Vessel schedule, which is continuously updated, allowing customers to know the times of berthing vessels, departures and arrivals in the Aqaba terminal. The schedule will also aid users in determining the cut off time for their export full containers so they can plan accordingly. The website also features the out of gauge (OOG) and Tariff calculators, giving users an estimate amount of the port charges, as well as allowing them to check the conditions of handling for their Out-Of-Gauge cargo (OOG) at ACT.
Commenting on this, the CEO of the Aqaba Container Terminal (ACT), Steven Yoogalingam, said “The launch of the new website comes in line with our ongoing efforts to modernize and upgrade our systems to better support our stakeholders, who will be able to easily navigate the more user-friendly platform for any terminal services provided.”
As the Kingdom’s primary gateway, the container terminal plays a pivotal role in attracting business and commercial activities to Jordan from the region and the world, therefore, ACT is constantly seeking to develop and enhance their operations and services to support the transformation of Aqaba into a strategic regional and international center.
