Abu Dhabi University Launches undergraduate programs at Dubai Campus

Dubai-UAE: – Abu Dhabi University (ADU), an internationally recognized academic institution for quality education and applied research, announced the launch of six undergraduate programs at its newest campus in Dubai Knowledge Park to meet the growing demand from students in Dubai and neighboring emirates.

The announcement came during ADU’s participation in the Gulf Education and Training Exhibition (GETEX) 2018, the Middle East and Asia’s leading student recruitment platform. During the event, the University recorded significant student interest in pursuing both postgraduate and undergraduate studies at its Dubai campus that was earlier dedicated solely to postgraduate education.

The internationally accredited undergraduate programs include Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) as well as BBA in Accounting, BBA in Finance, BBA in Human Resources Management, BBA in Digital Marketing Communications, and BBA in Entrepreneurship and Innovation.

In October 2017, the University’s newly opened Dubai campus launched a host of postgraduate programs. Master’s programs included Master of Education in Educational Leadership, Master of Science (MSc) in Special Education, Master of Public Law, Master of Private Law, MSc in Information Technology, MSc in Sustainable Architecture, Master of Engineering Management, Master of Project Management, Master of Strategic Leadership, and Master of Business Administration (MBA). A Doctorate of Business Administration and two Professional Diplomas in Teaching – Arabic and English – completed the offering.

In January 2018, the campus added a dual MBA program that includes an Executive MBA from ADU’s College of Business and an MSc in Global Business from the Sykes College of Business at the University of Tampa in the US.

Speaking on the announcement, Dr Waqar Ahmad, Provost and Interim Chancellor of ADU, said: “ADU works relentlessly to provide a comprehensive educational experience that is not limited to imparting theoretical knowledge but includes equipping students with practical skills and developing their intellectual abilities. These efforts are part of the University’s commitment to supporting the country’s sustainable development and transition to a knowledge-based economy.”

In Spring Semester 2018, ADU has welcomed 7,863 returning and new students to its 44 internationally accredited undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs, offered across its three campuses in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and Dubai.

ADU’s College of Business has earned international academic accreditation from the prestigious Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), the global accrediting body for business schools. Meanwhile, its College of Engineering received international accreditation from the world-renowned Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) at the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) for five of its undergraduate programs: BSc in Civil Engineering, BSc in Computer Engineering, BSc in Information Technology, BSc in Mechanical Engineering, and BSc in Electrical Engineering.

ADU has also entered Quacquarelli Symonds’ QS Top 150 under 50 2018 – a ranking of the world’s best universities under the age of 50.
