Abu Dhabi - In a move aimed at enhancing and upgrading the bus transport network and by providing innovative, long-term solutions to improve road safety, the Department of Transport (DoT) represented by the Integrated Transport Centre (ITC), announced that it will add during the peak hours more buses to the network and will improve the frequency times and implements more other positive modifications.

Starting from the first day of Eid al-Fitr, these changes will take place on most lines operating in Abu Dhabi and its suburbs and the city of Al Ain and its suburbs, to benefit the largest possible number of public transport users.

In this regard, The ITC announced that the changes came after extensive studies and within the framework of the comprehensive road transport plan aimed at providing the highest levels of comfort for public transportation users, explaining that the schedule of buses in Abu Dhabi has become as follows:

- Services 055 and 67 The frequency has changed to become every quarter of an hour instead of every half hour as before.

- Services 33 and 53 were extended to Abu Dhabi Exhibition Center based on public demand.

- Extension of service No. 94 to Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque.

- Increase the number of trips for the services 43 and 44 with the extension of service 43 to reach the Corniche Hospital.

- Increase the service frequency of 31 to become every quarter of an hour.

- Increase the number of trips on service number 55.

- Service line 009 has been modified to pass in front of the Emirates Palace Hotel, and Service No. 10 has been extended to Marina Mall.

New services

Integrated Transport Center added a new service number 30 from Al Khalidiya Children's Park to Abu Dhabi Gate City through the Al Makta Market- and a new destination for service No. 31 to reach the Al Makta - Quran memorization center

- Increasing the number of trips to the area of ​​Rawda - Madinat Zayed Sport City for Services 34, 52, and 94.

Bus service improvements

Based on public request, service 63 was extended to the city lights on Reem Island. Extending the route of the 67 service to the Sun Tower and improving the time frequency to become every 15 minutes, services have also been improved.

At Al Raha Beach and Yas Island, service lane 190 has been modified to pass through the Al Reef area and the service lane number 170 has been changed to serve from Khalifa Street to Al Zina area across the Al Raha Boulevard.

In the area of ​​Al Falah, Al Hailiya, Al Reef and Al Shamkha, the number 190 service from the Al Reef to zayed sport city has been improved to every 30 minutes through Saadiyat, and Abu Dhabi Downtown. A new service 290 was added from the New Al Falah area to Abu Dhabi Khalifa Street on hourly basis. The service 300 will work every hour between Al Shamkha Makani Mall to Abu Dhabi Khalifa Street through Abu Dhabi International Airport and Zayed Sport City.

Enhancing transport services around Abu Dhabi International Airport

- Extension of the services of 290 and 300 to pass through Terminal 1 and 3 at Abu Dhabi International Airport

- Service A1 has been modified to pass through Al Raha Beach, Sheikh Zayed Bridge and Al Muneera.

Service improvements in Al Ain and its suburbs

- Adding a new service No. 450 from Al-Khazna area to Al-Yihar to meet the needs of the public.

- Change the path of service line 380 to pass the Athar Street in response to public demand.

- Change the path of service line 390 to pass Khalid Bin Al Waleed Street

- Extension of service route 491 to reach the Salamat area.

- Change the service route 550 to pass the residential complex in the area of ​​Al-Qua’a.

- Change the path of service line 560 to pass Al Ain Street.

- Extend the route line 950 to reach the area of ​​the Nabag area.

The changes enable a large segment of the public to take advantage of the many benefits of bus transport, including the appropriate economic cost, 24-hour service, safety, environment and more convenience for all users.
