Abu Dhabi – In support of the UAE’s voluntary National Vaccination Program, 2,573 of Khidmah employees based in the UAE have received their first of two COVID-19 vaccine doses. The leading facilities management and maintenance company said that another 579 employees are set to receive their inoculation by the end of January, bringing the total number of staff to partake in the National Vaccination Program to 98% from a total of 3,216 staff.
Abdellatif Sfaxi, CEO at Khidmah, said, “Our staff are leading by example and were quick to sign up for the Abu Dhabi government launched campaign ''Choose to Vaccinate'' out of their belief that together we are protected. We are proud of our team for taking part in this national drive that will save lives. We are also grateful to the UAE authorities for making the vaccine widely available to anyone who wants it to stay safe, stay protected and contribute to global efforts to combat the Pandemic.”
Khidmah staff have already been involved in the efforts to curb the spread of COVID-19 in the UAE since last year. In September 2020, 57 employees volunteered to participate in the initial COVID-19 vaccine Phase III trials launched by the government. Khidmah has also participated in the UAE Government’s National Sterilisation Programme, carrying out the disinfection of various streets, parks, and pathways around Abu Dhabi.
