Riyadh: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) ended Sunday with a negative performance after its main Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) tumbled 33.18 points, or 0.42%, to 7,915.07 points.
TASI’s trading volume stood at 91.69 million shares on Sunday, up from 87.8 million on Thursday, while traded value increased to SAR 2.01 billion ($536.53 million), from SAR 1.96 billion ($522.13 million).
The consumer services sector fell 2%, followed by the commercial and professional services sector with 1.37%.
The telecommunication services, materials and banking sectors dropped 1.07%, 0.6%, and 0.41%, respectively.
On the other hand, the energy sector rose 2.02%, while the insurance sector inched up 0.7%.
Dur Hospitality Co’s stock was the bourse’s worst performer with 3.2%, whereas the stock of Arabian Pipes Company levelled up 10%.
Alinma Bank’s stock, down 2.95%, topped in the main market terms of trading volume after 26.7 million shares were exchanged, with a turnover of SAR 566.2 million.
Meanwhile, NOMU, the benchmark index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, dropped 2.34 points, or 0.09%, to finish the first session of this week at 2,688.87 points.
