Sri Lankan shares closed lower on Friday dragged by industrial and financial sector stocks.
The CSE All Share index fell 0.20% to 9,260.41, marking a fifth straight session of losses.
Sri Lanka's consumer inflation dipped to 49.2% year-on-year in March, after a 53.6% rise in February, the statistics department said on Friday.
Expolanka Holdings and Ceylinco Insurance were the top decliners on the CSE All Share index, down 2.2% and 6.4%, respectively.
Trading volume for the CSE All Share index rose to 59.3 million shares from 42.9 million in the previous session.
The equity market's turnover rose to 966.8 million Sri Lankan rupees ($3.04 million) from 933.5 million rupees in the previous session, according to exchange data.
Foreign investors bought stocks worth 311.5 million rupees on a net a basis, while domestic investors were net sellers, offloading shares worth 883.3 million rupees, the data showed.
