HAMBURG - Egyptian state buyer Egyptian Sugar and Integrated Industries Co. (ESIIC) is believed to have purchased around 50,000 metric tons of raw sugar in an international tender which closed on Saturday, traders said on Monday.
It was said to have been bought from trading house Viterra at an estimated $668 a metric ton CIF free out.
The sugar was bought for arrival in Egypt in 2024 between Jan. 11 and Jan. 26, they said.
