(TAP) - A Chinese military plane coming from Hong Kong and loaded with medical equipment landed on Wednesday morning in Tunis.

It is a donation from the Chinese Ministry of Defence to the National Defence Department "as part of the strengthening the military health administration's capacity to combat coronavirus".

According to a statement from the Ministry of Defence, the aid consists of surgical and protective masks, gloves, protective visors, protective clothing for health personnel as well as resuscitation equipment and infrared thermometers for remote temperature measurement.

The donation ceremony took place in the presence of the Director General of Military Health, Mustapha Ferjani.

The Ministry of Defence recently received medical equipment from the Ministry of Defence of China and the United States of America in donation.
