Salalah - Italian Veratour has come up with state-of-the-art Veraclub in Salalah's Marriott Resort. One of the largest tour operator of Italy took decision to set up the 'made in Italy' club after entering into an agreement with the Al Funoon Salalah to bring Italian charter to Salalah every week and then to offer the best possible services and facilities to its guests. The Veratour thus entered into an agreement also with the Marriott Salalah Resort to set up Veraclub in its premises and bring an approximate 5,000 Italians in one charter season. The Veratour did the Veraclub setup in advance to cater to the needs of the Italian tourists coming to Salalah in the recently launched charter operation that brings 120 Italian tourists every week. The club would remain active even after the season to receive guests in the next season. There are more than 30 such clubs spread all over the world.

Marco Capitani, Contracting Manager of Veratour, termed this as a unique facility in Oman for the Italian tourists. "This is an arrangement which would cater to all possible needs of the Italian tourists and to give them a feeling of a home away from home."

"Situated in the quiet and picturesque bay of Mirbat in Dhofar region in southern Oman, the Veraclub Salalah overlooks the sea at the foot of the mountains of the Jabel Samhan," he said.

The Veraclub Salalah is a collaboration between the famous hotel chain Marriott and Veratour. It looks like a modern and elegant structure with every comfort, suitable for clients seeking relaxation and well-being, but also to those who are discovering fascinating places, of which the region is rich.

While the guests would enjoy their stay at the hotel, which is made up of 186 rooms in the main building and 51 chalets, there would be one dedicated restaurant for the Veraclub out of total three. The club's services would be spread over the lounge, pool, Inglese beverage and beach beverage.

The location, according to Marco suits for the Veraclub due to the availability of an outdoor swimming pool of 2,000 square meters equipped with umbrellas and sun loungers, children's pool, tennis court, soccer field, amphitheatre, kids club, fitness centre and Spa Balinese.

"We are very happy with the new club, which is known for high guest satisfaction. The guests here appreciate a lot the excursions we propose, specially the desert. And the biggest advantage with Oman and Salalah is security and safety. We are hopeful of bringing many more tourists from Italy," he said.
He, however, sought from the authorities to do something more in to assure the visitors about the safety, hospitality and the good atmosphere they could have in Oman.

"In the future, I hope that more infrastructures outside the Club would be done to set up facilities like Quad Moto (beach motorbikes), small cruise boat etc to have a complete offer for excursion," said Marco.

Veraclub, according to Marco, is the unmistakable Italian style element, the elegance of the facilities, comfort studied on your needs, a team of animation ready to get excited, service availability, always sensitive to your needs and a team of expert chefs ready to delight you with the flavors of Italian cuisine."
