DUBAI - The 3rd edition of the popular Dubai Equestrian Forum opened today at the grandstand of Dubai’s iconic Meydan Racecourse.
“The UAE boasts a resilient and competitive investment environment underpinned by a robust and developed infrastructure in a variety of economic and commercial sectors, including activities related to the horse industry. Nearly AED2.1 billion have been spent on training racehorses, and the average annual expenditure of equestrian clubs in the country has reached AED367 million,” said Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy while addressing the forum.
The two-day edition of the forum is jointly hosted by Dubai Racing Club and Dubai Equestrian Club.
“The main objective of hosting this event is to meet with various equestrian suppliers from around the world and to give them a chance to showcase their products to what remains a huge market here in the region. I encourage everyone to get involved and come and visit the forum, which will further strengthen Dubai’s position as a top-class equestrian regional hub," said Major General Dr. Mohammed Essa Al Adhab, General Manager of Dubai Racing Club and Dubai Equestrian Club.
