MAKKAH Umm Al-Qura University took the initiative to count and study the cases and conditions of students who are over the age of 25 years. The initiative also covers those who have spent five years after their graduation from secondary schools but were unable to complete their university education due to compelling circumstances that prevented them from getting admission.

Dr. Khaled Al-Thaqafi, dean of admission and registration at the university, said that the university will allow admission to applicants after filling out the electronic form designated for admission of these categories of students.

He denied reports that requests for admission would be presented to the specialized scientific committees and councils to approve their eligibility and give the nod whether to complete the admission procedures or not in accordance with the rules and regulations followed by the university.

Al-Thaqafi said that all admission and registration procedures at the university are 100 percent online and fully governed, urging applicants to contact the official sources at the university to get the correct information.
