RIYADH The Saudi Electronic University has obtained the membership of the US Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the world's largest technical professional organization for the advancement of technology, as the varsity managed to inaugurate a branch for the students of the Faculty of Computing and Informatics.
Commenting on the occasion, the Rector of the Saudi Electronic University Dr. Lilac bint Ahmed Al-Safadi expressed thanks to the members of the Computing and Informatics Faculty, who initiated the move through the inception of such a branch, indicating that the move is a tremendous leap toward interconnecting Saudi Arabia to the worldwide open digital knowledge community.
For his part, the Dean of the faculty Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Bashir pointed out that the branch makes it readily easier for the national students to access all relating knowledge sources, a matter that would eventually raise the competitiveness of the faculty's graduates' distinction and edge, in the labor market.

It is designed to serve professionals involved in all aspects of the electrical, electronic, and computing fields and related areas of science and technology that underlie modern civilization.
