The UAE government has announced the school calendar for the next three years until 2022-2023.
Chaired by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister of the UAE and Minister of Presidential Affairs, the Ministerial Development Council approved the calendars for public and private schools for the years 202021, 2021-22, and 2022-23.
"The decision specified the beginning and end of the school year, the number of school days, and the dates of winter and spring breaks for both public and private schools in the UAE," the UAE government said on Twitter.
The academic year 2020-2021 began on August 30, while the 2021-2022 school year will begin on August 29, 2021. The school year 2022-2023 will begin on August 28.
Each school year will have two breaks and a summer vacation.
Both the 2020-21 and 2022-23 school years will have a total of 188 school days, while 2021-2022 will have 186 school days.
For public schools and those following the UAE Ministry of Education curriculum, the minimum school days for each academic year should be 182 days.
