In light of the spread of the Omicron variant of the coronavirus throughout the world, Director of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) Youssef Al-Fawzan affirmed that the condition of flights at Kuwait International Airport remains normal, adding that the globally enforced health regulations are strictly implemented here to control this epidemic.

Al-Fawzan informed the daily that the DGCA did not receive any new information about other countries where Omicron has started to spread. He also confirmed completion of the winter travel schedule, stressing there is no obstacle to traveling to and from other countries, except those covered by the commercial travel ban imposed after the spread of the new variant. He pointed out each of all the other countries is currently imposing health requirements on travelers from the banned countries and such efforts continue to intensify, especially during the New Year holiday.
