Muscat: Five repatriation flights headed for three cities in Pakistan departed Muscat International Airport on on Saturday.
The flights were organised for Pakistani nationals in Oman who wished to return home, as part of the measures taken by their country’s government during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Two of the flights landed in Multan, while one of them went to Karachi. A short while later, two more flights destined for Lahore took off from Muscat.
The flights were arranged in collaboration with Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), Pakistan’s flag carrier.
“Two more flights departed Muscat for Lahore,” added the embassy. “Both flights were seen off by the ambassador. Repatriation continues during the Holy Month of Ramadan. Thank you, Government of Oman and PIA for assisting in smooth operations. Deep appreciation to the embassy team for their tireless efforts.”
