AMMAN The Royal Jordanian Air Academy (RJAA) has announced the establishment of the first aviation science college in the Kingdom, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

"We are pleased with these partnerships because they help provide the local, Arab and international labour market with qualified human resources and competencies", RJAA Director General Captain Mohammad Khawaldeh said in a press conference on Sunday.

He stressed the importance of the joint bachelor's programme between the academy and the university for three-and-a-half years.

Khawaldeh said that, after completing the allotted period, the student will graduate with a licence to practice the profession of Jordanian and European aircraft maintenance, in addition to obtaining a bachelor degree approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
