Tomas Eneroth, Minister for Infrastructure of Sweden, and Lieutenant-General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, have discussed several topics of common interest, especially in traffic safety and ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in the security field.
The meeting, which took place at the Swedish Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, discussed the latest technologies to secure roads and reduce traffic-related deaths and ways to develop smart solutions that contribute to reducing road accidents and injuries.
Lt. Gen. Al Marri said the Dubai Police General Command is keen to maintain strong communication and cooperation channels with Sweden and to activate strategic partnerships across various sectors, including road safety, green mobility and innovation.
Following the meeting, Lt. Gen. Al Marri escorted Eneroth and the accompanying delegation to the Smart Police Station (SPS) at Expo 2020 Dubai, which provides policing services in seven languages to visitors of the global event round the clock and without human intervention.
Towards the end of the visit, Eneroth praised the achievements made by Dubai Police and the development it has reached in various traffic and criminal fields. He also commended the force on adapting and harnessing the latest technologies to ensure road safety and protect society.
