Dubai’s about to get the chance to groove to one of the year’s biggest hits, Despacito, live, on December 3. Luis Fonsi, the man behind the global sensation will perform at Cavalli Club for his Dubai debut.
The Florida-raised Puerto Rican started performing early, singing in a school vocal group called the Big Guys that also included future Nsync star Joey Fatone. He released his debut album Comenzare (I Will Begin) in 1998.
But it was his collaboration with fellow Puerto Rican rapper Daddy Yankee on the reggaeton-influenced single Despacito, which topped the charts upon its January 2017 release and remained there for nearly six months. The tune also won Latin Grammys for both Record of the Year and Song of the Year. Its remix, which features Justin Bieber, won the award for best urban fusion/performance.
