Queen Elizabeth 2 Hotel has opened of its newest attraction – the Traveller’s Cove, which explores the history of the QE2 and offers visitors a variety of exhibits dating back from the ship's construction in 1967 to its final journey in 2008.
This venue provides an excellent opportunity for both residents and tourists to explore the vast history of the QE2 and enhance their knowledge. The museum is located at Deck 1 and will be open from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm. Admission is free for all visitors, and we encourage everyone to come and explore the exceptional exhibits and memorabilia on display.
Guests can also discover the story of the beloved ocean liner with the QE2’s Heritage Tour. The Heritage Tour takes guests on a journey back in time to experience life onboard the iconic ocean liner during her sailing days. Visitors can enjoy a unique perspective on the British heritage, design and engineering, as well as the maritime history of this legendary vessel spanning five decades.
The tour commences at the main terminal with a display of the QE2's memorabilia. Guests then proceed to the Midship Lobby, which houses a collection of original murals that depict the history of Cunard dating back to the 1840s. Visitors will continue the tour around the ship and head to the Boat Deck. The Captain's Bridge offer plenty of photo opportunities as guests take in the ship's stunning views, including the iconic Dubai skyline in the distance.
The tour is available Tuesday to Sunday at 11:00 am and 5:00 pm and it is priced at AED85 ($23) per person. A variety of attractive packages are on offer that include lunch, dinner and afternoon tea.
