We are extremely excited and privileged to be able to host the First International jazz fest in Bahrain, Royal Golf Club Director of Food & Beverage/Executive Chef Paul Gindra told DT News. The first of its kind event will be held at the Royal Golf Club golf course and is expected to attract more than 3,000 jazz music enthusiasts from Bahrain and the abroad.
The festival will feature internationally acclaimed acts such as Electric Swing Circus (UK), The Ska Vengers (India), The Speakeasies Swing Band (Greece), Swing Zazou (UK) and the Dihann Moore & the SheGroovee Band (USA) as well popular local acts AQs Jazz Experience, Mohammed Rashid Trio featuring Banah and Captain Tea.
Together with our organising partners Clockworks and BMMI we have been working hard to create a unique jazz experience that the whole family can enjoy, added Gindra. The fest has a sustainable community approach and will host a series of jazz workshops and local music events at various venues in September leading up to the open-air festival on October 6.
Commenting on the event, BMMI Senior Key Account Manager Michael Goodger said: We are delighted to be a partner in Bahrains first international jazz festival which promises to be a fun day for the whole family, with unique on-site activities catering to all ages and some truly landmark musical talents on display.
