Bahrain yesterday registered 586 new Covid-19 cases, alongside 635 recoveries and three fatalities.
Two men – a Bahraini, 80, and an expat, 68, – and Bahraini woman, 72, died from the coronavirus yesterday, taking the death toll to 242.
The Health Ministry revealed that of yesterday’s 586 new cases, 144 were expatriate workers, 433 contacts of local cases and nine travel-related.
It said an additional 635 people recovered from Covid-19 yesterday, taking the total number of recoveries to 62,887.
The ministry added that of the 6,232 active cases, 153 were receiving treatment and 61 in critical condition.
Bahrain has so far registered a total of 69,361 cases, including active cases, recoveries and deaths.
The kingdom has also conducted 1,407,572 tests for the coronavirus.
