Bahrain - The General Directorate of Traffic has reported a sharp drop in road violations since new laws came into force.
“Strict implementation of laws has reduced traffic violations, particularly jumping red lights and speeding,” said legal affairs chief Captain Khalid Mubarak Bouquis.
He said smart technology has contributed in clamping down on traffic violations and enhancing road safety.
He underlined the success of the newly-introduced flashing green lights, which contributed to reducing red light violations.
