RIYADH — Justice Minister Walid Al-Samaani inaugurated the International Conference on Justice in Riyadh Sunday in the presence of ministers, thought leaders and legal experts from around the world. The two-day conference features 50 international speakers and over 4,000 participants.
The minister also inaugurated the Judicial Technology Exhibition, which showcases the latest ICT and AI technology relevant to the judicial sector. The exhibition includes sections such as preventive justice, ADR, judiciary, and enforcement.
“I’d like to thank you for attending this conference, which aims to build judicial partnerships and enable sharing expertise to enhance justice enablers worldwide,” the minister said in his opening speech. “I look forward to fruitful outcome for justice sectors around the world.”
“We need to keep pace with global developments and use the opportunity for progress, especially in terms of the technologies enhancing safeguards," the minister also said.
The conference’s goal is to facilitate access to justice through digital innovation, explore the future of judicial technology, and enrich legal culture.
“Under Vision 2030 led by the Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed Bin Salman, Saudi Arabia has engaged in the development of all sectors including the justice sector,” Al-Samaani added.
“The leadership has supported digital innovations and developmental initiatives that promote the values of justice and transparency,” he said.
Through this global event, the Saudi justice sector seeks to engage with global experiences and the employment of innovations that serve justice and streamline procedures.
The conference discusses the future of justice in light of digital transformation, international digitization experiences, the legal dimension of artificial intelligence (AI), the use of AI and data analytics to enhance justice, and the future of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) in light of digital transformation.
