DUBAI: Oman’s Royal Police arrested 104 female expats on charges on prostitution, local daily Times of Oman reported.
“As part of the efforts to spread security and maintain public morals, the Royal Oman Police arrested 104 women of different nationalities, in various locations in Al Khuwair. [The women were arrested] on charges of violating public morals, labor laws and expats residence laws,” a statement from ROP read.
“The women were of Asian and African nationalities,” it added.
According to the police, the arrests occurred in the Al Khuwair area in Muscat.
