RIYADH — The General Organization for Social Insurance (GOSI) has allowed the salary hike of Saudis, who are over the age of 50 and receiving less than SR4,000 a month, without following the 10 percent cap, meaning the pay raise can exceed 10 percent in this case.
GOSI said it is possible to raise the salaries of the people in the above-mentioned category, sidestepping the 10 percent cap. If someone is getting a SR3,000 salary, his salary can be raised to SR4,000 meeting the minimum wage requirement set as part of the “Nitaqat” Program,
The move can be implemented by entering online into the GOSI account of the employer, accessing the slot for raising the wages of subscribers in the establishment, entering the new salary without restricting oneself to the 10 percent cap but ensuring that the salary does not exceed SR4000, then click the “Save” icon.
