The Ras Al Khaimah police on Monday ordered the extension of the 30% discount on traffic fines announced on October 7.

The traffic fine discount was supposed to end on November 1, according to a top RAK police official.

Major General Al Abduallah bin Alwan Al Nuaimi, General Commander of RAK Police, said the extension is in line with the Ministry of Interior's strategy to ensure adherence to traffic safety rules and regulations

"Motorists who had tickets issued 81 days ago for speeding or have their cars impounded will be considered eligible for the discount," Al Nuaimi said.

"Ras Al Khaimah Police are also working to enhance everyone's happiness and satisfaction by decreasing the financial burden on motorists."
