The UAE's market annually receives around 11% of Egypt's total exports to the world, the Egyptian Minister of International Cooperation, Rania A. Al-Mashat, announced on Thursday.

This announcement was made during Al-Mashat's meeting with the UAE’s Minister of Economy, Abdulla bin Touq Al-Marri, as part of his visit to Cairo, according to a press release on Thursday.

During the meeting, Al-Mashat stressed the importance of reactivating the Egyptian-Emirati Joint Higher Committee, launched in 1988, and fostering bilateral relations between the two countries across different fields.

Meanwhile, the UAE’s Minister of Economy said that the UAE is keen to cooperate with Egypt, in light of the close strategic relations between the two countries across various sectors, especially in the economy and commercial fields.
