Tehran - Managing Director of Mobin Petrochemical company Jamshid Sabzkar said on Friday that talks with two giant German petrochemical companies named Siemens and Linde are underway for joint venture and investment on developing projects in the Iranian marketplace.
A high-ranking business and industrial delegation from Germany are now visiting Iran to discuss broadening of energy and economic cooperation with Iran, he said.
Speaking to IRNA, he said after implementation of the JCPOA and lift of economic sanctions, sales and exports of Iranian petrochemical products have increased dramatically.
There is no obstacle on the way of financial transactions with foreign banks and after removal of economic sanctions, the required equipment are now imported to the country without any problem, Sabzkar said.
German companies are determined to boost efforts to promote trade relations with Iran, he said.
After talks with giant German companies, the related contracts to finalize the deals will be signed between the two sides, he said.
Linde company has voiced readiness to help implement developing projects at Mobin Petrochemical company and even to do investment in those projects, Sabzkar said.
Linde has also voiced readiness to purchase the produced petrochemical products at Mobin company, he said.
Following implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), heavy weight economic delegation from parts of the world are now visiting Iran to conduct feasibility studies in running huge projects.
According to officials at Iran Ministry of Petroleum, it is expected that the German companies to invest over 12 billion euros in the first phase of investment in the Iranian market.
Iran is determined to increase volume of its petrochemical products from 60 million tons to 180 million tons in this current year requiring some dlrs. 70 billion major part of which should be met by foreign investors.
