STOCKHOLM  - Sweden's economy will grow slower this year than previously forecast and there is no room for unfinanced spending measures in the upcoming budget, Finance Minister Magdalena Andersson said on Monday.

"The Swedish economy is strong. But parliament's decision on the budget means that taxes will be cut by 20 billion crowns. That means that the room for unfinanced spending measures in the spring budget is non-existent," Andersson said in a statement.

The government will publish its spring supplementary budget on April 10.

In December, the Social Democrat-led government lost a budget vote and had to adopt the finance bill put forward by the centre-right opposition.
