Remittances from Egyptian expats up 73.8% YoY in May

Remittances from Egyptians working abroad jumped 73.8% year-on-year to approximately $2.7 billion in May 2024, Asharq Business reported.

This marks the third consecutive month of growth in remittances following the EGP floatation in March.

On a monthly basis, remittances saw a substantial increase of 26.6% compared to April, when they amounted to around $2.2 billion.
