A number of major Danish companies are considering growing their businesses in the Egyptian market, where they probed methods of strengthening their investments in the country, the Egyptian Ministry of Trade and Industry stated on February 17th.

These companies are already operating in Egypt across the fields of pharmaceuticals, heavy industries, fodders, food industries, transport and shipping, programming, and agribusiness.

During his meeting with the officials of these companies, Minister of Trade and Industry Ahmed Samir has probed ways to help the companies seeking further investments in Egypt to overcome any challenges they face.

Samir stressed that the ministry is keen on constantly coordinating with both local and foreign companies investing in the country to provide all the needed support to expand their projects and promote more investments.

The minister added that the government is sparing no effort to remove all the obstacles facing its investors amid the negative economic repercussions of the successive global crises.

The government is also working on clearing all imported goods at Egyptian ports, the minister added.

The representatives of the Danish companies praised the ministry’s efforts in supporting the industrial sector and helping investors expand their businesses in Egypt.
