Egyptian Minister of Civil Aviation Mohamed Abbas Helmy held a meeting with heads of private airlines firms to discuss possible joint cooperation in the coming period to promote internal and external tourism movement, according to a statement by the Egyptian Ministry on February 5th.
Helmy said that the ministry is keen to provide all the needed facilities to the Egyptian private airlines to improve their performance.
The meeting tackled mechanisms to enhance the role of the private sector in the air transport system.
In addition, the challenges facing private aviation activity and the proposals of heads and representatives of companies that would contribute to the development of air traffic and tourism to Egypt, opening new markets for air transport, and attracting more investments were also discussed.
