KUWAIT CITY: The Family Welfare Department in the Ministry of Affairs has issued the circular detailing conditions for married graduates who are entitled for assistance, reports Al-Anba daily.

The daily quoting reliable sources stated that “the assistance is disbursed to the students after graduation for one year or until joining work, whichever is earlier, provided that he is registered with the Civil Service Commission (CSC) or the Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) to find a job.

The source added the circular also stipulates that this assistance will continue in the event a married student is nominated to work after the graduation but rejected was rejected. In this case the assistance will be paid until the graduate finds the job for a maximum of one year.

On the other hand, the same administration issued another circular that says given the exceptional circumstances the country is going through due to the corona pandemic, which has restricted citizens’ freedom to enter and exit through the land and air ports, causing some recipients of social assistance to be unable to return to the country, based on the instructions of the Minister of Social Affairs, it was decided that the from Aug 4, 2021 until Oct 7, 2021 is not counted as a period of residence outside the country the aid will continue to be disbursed to the beneficiaries.

Meanwhile, the latest labor market statistics show the total number of Kuwaiti women in the labor force has reached 234,422 or which 79 percent work in the government sector, reports Al-Qabas daily.

The statistics issued by the Central Bureau of Statistics on the labor market concerned with the distribution of employment as recorded by the insurance sector indicated that 79.3% of working Kuwaiti women are insured in the government sector or 185,891 employees, while 10.9% of them are insured in the Al-Ahly insurance sector or 25,619 employees.

The statistics also indicated that the percentage of insured women in the oil sector was 0.1% of the total number of female Kuwaiti employees whose number is only 255, while the percentage of insured women in the state-owned oil sector was 1.2% or 2,800 employees.

The percentage of Kuwaiti women in Chapter Five insurance was 4.1% of the total Kuwaiti women workforce or 9,576 women, while 4.4% or 10,281 working Kuwaiti women did not find the type of insurance available to them.
