KUWAIT -- Kuwait's Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and the UK's Civil Aviation Authority signed a memorandum of understanding on boosting cooperation and services in civil aviation field.
The agreement will bring the two authorities closer to develop their services in the field, British Secretary of State for Transport Chris Grayling told KUNA and Kuwait TV on Wednesday. The UK is eager to boost cooperation with Kuwait in aviation, he added.
On his part, DGCA's Director General Yousif Al-Fozan said in a press statement that the memorandum includes sharing experience in technical support and follow international rules in the field.
The British authority will organize training courses and seminars on civil aviation in Kuwait, he added.
Al-Fozan also noted that CAA would be in charge of monitoring, evaluating and developing Kuwait's aviation work scheme in terms of international laws and measures.
Al-Fozan and CAA's International Director Ben Alcott had signed the agreement with the presence of DGCA's Chairman of the Board Sheikh Salman Sabah Al-Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah and Grayling.
