ABU DHABI- H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed, Member of Abu Dhabi Executive Council and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Office, today attended the fifth edition of the Unmanned Systems Exhibition and Conference (UMEX) and Simulation Training Exhibition (SimTEX) in Abu Dhabi.
The exhibition, which is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and is organised by Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC) in cooperation with the UAE Ministry of Defence, is taking place at ADNEC.
During the visit, H.H. Sheikh Khaled met with local and international companies and was briefed on the latest technologies in unmanned systems, such as drones and robotics for use in the civil and defence sectors.
First held in 2016, UMEX provides a platform to discuss the latest developments, trends and innovations in the UAS (unmanned aircraft systems) sector. The fifth edition of the event features a Simulation and Training Exhibition (SimTEX), which aims to promote cooperation between the armed forces, manufacturers, academia and government agencies to deliver enhanced training and education programmes in the sector.
