AMMAN — The total remittances of Jordanian expatriates increased by 0.9 per cent by the end of August to reach JD1.6 billion, compared with the same period in 2020, according to data released by the Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) on Wednesday.

Remittances increased in August 2021 alone by 3.5 per cent, marking an increase of JD6.6 million, to reach JD194 million, compared with August 2020, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
