AMMAN —Tourism Minister Nayef Fayez on Sunday met with representatives from a Nigerian delegation visiting the Kingdom for religious tourism. In the meeting, they discussed ways to enhance cooperation over religious tourism, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Fayez said that Jordan is considered one of the world’s most prominent religious tourism destinations. Yakubu Pam, the head of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission, expressed his admiration of the number of religious and archaeological sites in Jordan.

Pam also praised the Kingdom’s peace and stability in a turbulent region. Pam referred to the importance of enhancing medical tourism and praised Jordan's public health and safety measures implemented during the COVID-19 pandemic.
