LONDON, Nov 1 (Reuters) - Italy has overtaken Greece as the country most likely to leave the euro zone, according to a monthly survey of investors released on Tuesday.

Investors polled by the Frankfurt-based research group Sentix in October attributed a 9.9 percent chance to Italy leaving the currency union in the next 12 months, higher than the 8.5 percent chance seen for Greece.

This was the first time Italy had scored higher than Greece since the survey was launched in June 2012, although it is seen as a much lower probability than the 70 percent chance of a Greek exit seen during 2012.

The monthly survey of 1039 investors was conducted from Oct. 26-28.
