Qatari emir names new chairman for Qatar Investment Authority

Sheikh Mohammed Bin Abdulrahman al Thani has been appointed as prime minister

DUBAI: Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani has named central bank governor Sheikh Bandar bin Mohamed bin Saud al-Thani as chairman of Qatar Investment Authority, his office said on Tuesday.

The new appointment comes after the previous chairman Sheikh Mohammed Bin Abdulrahman al Thani has been appointed as prime minister. (Reporting by Tala Ramadan, Writing by Clauda Tanios)
