In a press statement, she called on the industrial sector to employ technology to promote its products, find new markets and overcome the challenges imposed by the coronavirus pandemic.

Ali expressed the ministry’s readiness to provide the necessary support, through the Jordan Enterprise Development Corporation (JEDCO), to aid the industry. JEDCO is an important driver of the national economy, through helping Jordanian companies take advantage of advanced technology in the e-marketing of their products, she added.

Minister of Digital Economy Ahmad Hanandeh highlighted the steps they took in the field of information technology to cover all sectors in the Kingdom. The ministry prioritises cooperation with its partners to develop the entrepreneurship sector, promote digital transformation and e-government and design programmes to enhance digital skills.

Head of the Amman Chamber of Industry (ACI) Fathi Jaghbir said that ACI will organise the first virtual international exhibition for food industries in November.

The ACI will use the tools of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, with local and international participation, and will work to prepare Jordanian industrial companies to participate in its activities.
