Bahrain’s Ambassador to the UK Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa held a virtual meeting with Deputy Speaker of the British House of Commons Nigel Evans.

The meeting highlighted strong historical relations between the two kingdoms, noting the importance of developing these ties at all levels, especially in light of the near completion of the Brexit process.

Mr Evans expressed pride in his relations with Bahrain, which date back to around 30 years, during which he visited the kingdom and closely witnessed its development in various fields.

He also commended Bahrain’s efforts in fighting Covid-19, which he learned through taking part in previous webinars held by Bahrain’s embassy in the UK.

Shaikh Fawaz praised the development of friendly relations between the two kingdoms, which are based on mutual respect and co-ordination regarding several regional and international issues.

He also affirmed Bahrain’s keenness to further develop its relations with the UK at many levels, including commerce, economy, tourism and investment to benefit both countries and people.
